CHEST X-RAY, TWO VIEWS

CHEST X-RAY, TWO VIEWS

FINDINGS:             Heart is normal in size.  Hilar regions are rather prominent.

Multiple small calcified granulomas are noted.

There is no focal mass or active infiltrates.  Degenerative changes are seen in the dorsal spine.

IMPRESSION:                    Prominent hilar regions bilaterally.  No previous chest x-ray is available for comparison.  According to the clinical data, patient has a history of sarcoidosis.  Clinical correlation and if indicated, further evaluation with CAT scan study of the thorax is suggested for better evaluation of the mediastinum and hilar regions particularly for lymphadenopathy.

Thank you for the referral.
