ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE ABDOMEN

ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE ABDOMEN

FINDINGS:             The liver is normal in size and echotexture.  There is no focal mass noted.

The spleen is normal in size and has a homogeneous echotexture.

There is no ascites.

The gallbladder is normal.  There is no evidence of a calculus, wall thickening, or pericholecystic fluid collection.

The common bile duct measures 5 mm.  There is no dilatation of intrahepatic biliary ducts.

Pancreas is unremarkable.

Both kidneys are normal in size and echotexture.  There is no evidence of a renal calculus, focal mass, or hydronephrosis.

Abdominal aorta is unremarkable.  There is no evidence of abdominal aortic aneurysm.

IMPRESSION:
1.          Unremarkable ultrasound study of abdomen.
2.          There is no evidence of cholelithiasis.
