CAROTID DUPLEX STUDY

FINDINGS:             There is no evidence of plaque formation or stenosis.

The velocity of the blood flow in the right common carotid artery proximal is 131 cm/sec and distally it is 146 cm/sec, in the right internal carotid artery it is 94 cm/sec proximally and 72 cm/sec distally and in the right external carotid artery it is 86 cm/sec.

The velocity of the blood flow in the left common carotid artery proximally is 153 cm/sec and it is 88 cm/sec distally, in the left internal carotid artery it is 94 cm/sec proximally and 57 cm/sec distally and it is 144 cm/sec in the left external carotid artery.

Antegrade blood flow was seen in the vertebrals bilaterally.

ICA/CCA ratio on the right is 0.65 and on the left it is 0.61 and this is within the normal limits.

IMPRESSION:        No evidence of plaque formation or stenosis.
