SCROTAL ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION WITH BILATERAL TESTICULAR COLORFLOW EVALUATION

SCROTAL ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION WITH BILATERAL TESTICULAR COLORFLOW EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         Swelling.

FINDINGS:             The testicle measures 3.5 x 2 x 2.5 cm and the left testicle measures
3.3 x 2.1 x 2.7 cm.  There is good colorflow of both testicles.  The epididymal head on the right measures 6 mm and the left 8 mm.  There are changes consistent with bilateral hydroceles.  Colorflow evaluation of both testicles was performed and there is good colorflow to both testicles.  On one of the transverse images in the right testicle region, there is a surrounded structure it appears.  It is not clear that this represents a varicocele or hernia.  The significance of this is somewhat uncertain, but appears within the hydrocele.  There is no clear evidence of significant abnormality to the echogenicity of the testicles.  If there is any further concern, clinical correlation, further evaluation, or MRI may be considered.

Thank you for the referral.
