X-RAY EVALUATION OF THE CERVICAL SPINE, FIVE VIEWS

FINDINGS:             Five views of the cervical spine are submitted.

There are degenerative changes.

Alignment of the vertebrae is normal.  There is no subluxation.

Posterior elements appear to be unremarkable.

Odontoid process is intact and atlanto-axial joint relationship is within normal limits.

Narrowing of the disc space is noted at C6-C7 level.

There is no prevertebral soft tissue swelling noted.

IMPRESSION:        Moderate degenerative changes associated with narrowing of the disc space at C6-C7 level.  Clinical correlation and if indicated, further evaluation is suggested.
