TRANSABDOMINAL PELVIC ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION

TRANSABDOMINAL PELVIC ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION

CLINICAL DATA:            Pain.  Abnormal bleeding.

FINDINGS:             The uterus measures 9.6 x 4.2 x 6.8 cm.  There is a 3.3 x 3 cm intrauterine hypoechoic mass with calcification, most likely representing a calcified fibroid.

The endometrial stripe was not visualized.

Ovaries were not visualized.  No definite adnexal mass is seen.

There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac.

IMPRESSION:
1.                   About 3.3 x 3 cm intrauterine hypoechoic mass with calcification, most likely representing a calcified fibroid.  Other possibilities cannot be completely excluded.
2.                   Endometrial stripe and ovaries were not visualized making the study limited.

Thank you for the referral.
