CHEST X-RAY, TWO VIEWS

CHEST X-RAY, TWO VIEWS

FINDINGS:             There is mild cardiomegaly.  Mediastinum appeared to be unremarkable.  There are a few small calcified granuloma.  There is a 1 cm opacity involving the right mid lung field.  Its margins are not sharply defined.

Costophrenic angles are clear. Degenerative changes are seen in the dorsal spine.

Incidentally noted is presence of calcific tendonitis involving the right shoulder.

IMPRESSION:        Rather poorly marginated 1 cm opacity involving the right mid lung.  It appears to be dense and may represent a granuloma.  However, the margins are rather irregular, further evaluation with CAT scan is recommended.

Thank you for the referral.
