ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE ABDOMEN

ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE ABDOMEN

CLINICAL DATA:            Abdominal pain, status post cholecystectomy.

FINDINGS:             There is mild hepatomegaly.  There is no focal hepatic mass noted.

The spleen is normal in size and echotexture.

There is no ascites.

The patient had cholecystectomy in the past.  Common bile duct measures 4 mm.  There is no dilatation of the intrahepatic biliary ducts.

Pancreas is normal without any evidence of a focal mass.

Abdominal aorta is unremarkable.  There is no aneurysm.

Right kidney measures 9.7 x 4.3 x 5.1 cm and left kidney measures 10 x 5 x 5.7 cm.  There is no evidence of a renal calculus, focal renal mass, or hydronephrosis.

IMPRESSION:
1.                   Mild hepatomegaly.
2.                   Status post cholecystectomy.
