BILATERAL
DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION
INDICATION
FOR STUDY: The patient has had a previous
study here, dated XXXXXXX and a comparison is made with her previous study.
TECHNIQUE: CC
and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the
digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.
FINDINGS: The
left nipple and areola are retracted.
Comparing the current study with the previous exam, this appears to have
increased somewhat. Also, there does
appear to be some increase in tissue directly beneath the left nipple and
areola and an MRI of the breast is suggested for further evaluation.
Otherwise, there is fatty
replacement with scattered heterogeneous breast tissue. Some increased density is seen in the
anterior aspect of the right breast unchanged from the previous study.
The subcutaneous tissue and
vascularity appears to be normal. As
noted, there is retraction of the left areola and nipple, which may have
increased. The right nipple is
flattened.
IMPRESSION: An MRI of both breasts is recommended for further
evaluation of this patient.
BI-RADS
Clinical Assessment Category 0: Would recommend further evaluation as
discussed.
Thank
you for the referral.
XXXXXXX, M.D.
