BILATERAL
DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION
INDICATION FOR STUDY: The patient states that she feels
a lump superior to the left nipple. This
palpable lesion has been present for two weeks.
TECHNIQUE: CC
and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the
digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.
FINDINGS: There is seen to be bilaterally
dense mammary tissue. No definable
lesion can be seen in the anterior aspect of the left breast superior to the
nipple. However, an ultrasound
examination of the left breast is suggested for further evaluation.
Some scattered benign
appearing calcifications are seen. No
malignant appearing calcifications are identified or suspected.
The subcutaneous
tissue and vascularity is normal. The
skin and nipples are normal.
IMPRESSION: An ultrasound examination of the
left breast is suggested for further evaluation.
BI-RADS
Clinical Assessment Category 0: Would
recommend further evaluation as discussed.
