BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION - 27

BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         The patient has had a previous mammogram at RIA.  This film should be obtained and sent to this department for comparison with the current study.

TECHNIQUE:          CC and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.

FINDINGS:               The finding is dense mammary tissue seen bilaterally.  No mass lesion is identified.  No malignant appearing calcifications can be seen.  The subcutaneous tissue and vascularity appears to be normal.  The skin and nipples are normal.

In absence of prior films, a comparison with the study at RIA is necessary.  If these films are not available, then an ultrasound of both breasts would be recommended.

IMPRESSION:

BI-RADS Clinical Assessment Category 2:  Benign finding.

Thank you for the referral.
