BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         The patient has had bilateral breast implants in 2008.

TECHNIQUE:          CC and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.

FINDINGS:               Patient presents with a milky discharge from the left nipple.  Prior to displacement of the breast implants, no abnormalities can be seen.

With displacement of the implants, there is dense mammary tissue seen bilaterally.  There is no evidence of a mass lesion however.

No malignant appearing calcifications are seen.  The subcutaneous tissue and vascularity is normal.  The skin and nipples are normal.  In view of the patient’s left nipple discharge, particular attention is paid to the subareolar area on the left, but no abnormality is seen.

IMPRESSION:

BI-RADS Clinical Assessment Category 2:  Benign finding.

Thank you for the referral.
