BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         The patient has had a previous study at this facility, dated 02/02/2010 and a comparison is made with her previous examination.

TECHNIQUE:          CC and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.

FINDINGS:               The patient presents with no current clinical complaints.  The patient had a lumpectomy in 1996 with radiation therapy involving the left breast.

In comparing the current exam with the previous study of 02/02/2010, there does not appear to be any significant change in the appearance of either breast.

There is significant asymmetry in breast size with the left breast being considerably smaller than the right.  There is no evidence of a mass lesion.  There is scattered heterogeneous breast tissue seen in both breasts.

The subcutaneous tissue and vascularity is normal.  The skin and nipples are normal.

IMPRESSION:        Unchanged from our previous study of 02/02/2010.

BI-RADS Clinical Assessment Category 2:  Benign finding.

Thank you for the referral.
