BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         The patient has had bilateral implants, which were placed in 1996.  Also, she has had a study at this facility dated XXXXXX and a comparison is made with her previous study.

TECHNIQUE:          CC and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.

FINDINGS:               Prior to displacement of the implants, no abnormalities are seen.

With displacement of the implants, there is scattered heterogeneous breast tissue seen in both breasts, but with no evidence of a mass lesion.

No malignant appearing calcifications are seen.  The subcutaneous tissue and vascularity is normal.  The skin and nipples are normal.

Comparing the current study with that of XXXXXXX, there does not appear to be any significant change in the appearance of either breast.

IMPRESSION:        Unchanged from our previous study of XXXXXXXX.

BI-RADS Clinical Assessment Category 2:  Benign finding.

Thank you for the referral.
