BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION - 30

BILATERAL DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM WITH CAD EVALUATION

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         The patient has had a previous study at XXXXXXX.  This film should be obtained and sent to this department for comparison with the current study.

TECHNIQUE:          CC and MLO views of each breast were obtained along with CAD evaluation on the digital mammogram machine and the CAD evaluation was reviewed.

FINDINGS:               The dominant finding is residual dense mammary tissue.  Also, there is the suggestion of a 2 cm mass lesion in the central portion of the right breast.  Margins would appear to be smooth, but an ultrasound examination for further evaluation is recommended.

No malignant appearing calcifications are seen.  The subcutaneous tissue and vascularity is normal.  The skin and nipples are normal.

IMPRESSION:        An ultrasound examination of the right breast is recommended to evaluate the questioned mass lesion.

BI-RADS Clinical Assessment Category 0:  Would recommend further evaluation as discussed.

Thank you for the referral.
XXXXXXXXX, M.D.
