TRANSABDOMINAL AND TRANSVAGINAL PELVIC ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION
CLINICAL
DATA: Pelvic pain.
FINDINGS: The uterus is normal in size
measuring 7.9 x 3.9 x 5.1 cm. It has a
homogeneous echotexture. There is no
intrauterine mass noted.
The endometrial stripe
measures 4.4 mm and this is within normal limits.
Right ovary was not visualized.
The left ovary
appeared to be enlarged measuring about 12.4 x 3.4 x 4.9 cm. There is a questionable left adnexal mass
measuring about 2.9 x 2.7 cm.
Considering the finding, clinical correlation and if indicated, further
evaluation with MRI is suggested.
The presence of free
fluid in the cul-de-sac is noted.
