CHEST
X-RAY, PA AND LATERAL VIEWS
INDICATION FOR STUDY: Cough with acute bronchitis.
FINDINGS: An examination of the chest shows
some chronic changes with hyperlucency and both interstitial and parenchymal
pulmonary scarring, but with no active or acute pulmonary process seen.
Heart size and contour
is normal. Hemidiaphragms are normal
with clear costophrenic angles.
A lateral chest
radiograph shows a clear retrocardiac space and the posterior sulcus is clear.
IMPRESSION: Some mild chronic pulmonary changes,
but no active or acute cardiopulmonary process is seen at this time.
