CHEST X-RAY, PA AND LATERAL VIEWS
FINDINGS: An examination of the chest shows
the lungs to be well expanded and free of active or acute disease. Heart size and contour is normal. The patient has had a sternum splitting operation.
Perihilar and upper lobe
vascularity appears to be normal and I see nothing to suggest shunt vascularity
at this time.
Hemidiaphragms are
normal with clear costophrenic angles. A
lateral chest radiograph shows a clear retrocardiac space and the posterior
sulcus is clear.
IMPRESSION:
1. Previous sternum splitting operation.
2. No
evidence of shunt vascularity.
Thank you for the referral.
