CHEST X-RAY, PA AND LATERAL VIEWS
INDICATION
FOR STUDY: Acute bronchitis.
FINDINGS: An examination of the chest shows
the lungs to be well expanded and free of active or acute disease, though some
chronic interstitial pulmonary scarring can be seen. Does this patient have a smoking history?
Heart size and contour
is normal. Hemidiaphragms are normal
with clear costophrenic angles.
A lateral chest
radiograph shows a clear retrocardiac space and the posterior sulcus is clear.
IMPRESSION: No active or acute
cardiopulmonary process is identified.
