CHEST
X-RAY, PA AND LATERAL VIEWS
INDICATION FOR STUDY: Excessive tobacco use.
FINDINGS: An examination of the chest shows
the lungs to be well expanded and free of active or acute disease. There is a small density seen in the
periphery of the left mid lung field felt to represent a previous granuloma.
The heart and
mediastinal structures are normal.
Hemidiaphragms are normal with clear costophrenic angles.
A lateral chest
radiograph shows a clear retrocardiac space.
The posterior sulcus is clear.
IMPRESSION: No active or acute
cardiopulmonary process is identified, but evidence of prior granulomatous
disease.
