MRI EXAMINATION OF THE RIGHT WRIST WITHOUT CONTRAST

MRI EXAMINATION OF THE RIGHT WRIST WITHOUT CONTRAST

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         Radiating pain.

FINDINGS:               Multiplanar and multisequence imaging was obtained on the 1.5 Tesla GE MRI without contrast.  There are slight chronic changes and degenerative changes.  The flexor and extensor retinaculum appears intact.  There is no ganglion cyst identified.  The triangular fibrocartilage shows slight chronic changes within it.  This may represent slight chronic tear, but there is no significant acute tear in the triangular fibrocartilage.  The remainder of the visualized structures show no other gross abnormality.  Would recommend clinical correlation or follow-up as needed.

Thank you for the referral.
