MRI EXAMINATION OF THE CERVICAL SPINE WITHOUT CONTRAST

INDICATION FOR STUDY:           Neck pain.

FINDINGS:               Sagittal T1 and T2 and axial T2 gradient echo images were obtained on the Open MRI at Fort Pierce.  The vertebral bodies appear in relatively good alignment.  The cord shows no significant signal abnormality.

At the levels of C2-C3, C4-C5, C5-C6, C6-C7, and C7-T1, there is no significant disc herniation, central canal stenosis, or neuroforaminal narrowing.

At the level of C3-C4, there are degenerative changes and slight left neuroforaminal narrowing.  There is no significant central canal stenosis or right neuroforaminal narrowing.  If there is any further concern, would recommend further evaluation as needed.
