MRI EXAMINATION OF THE LEFT ANKLE WITHOUT CONTRAST

MRI EXAMINATION OF THE LEFT ANKLE WITHOUT CONTRAST

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         Tendonitis.  Trauma.

FINDINGS:               Axial, sagittal, and coronal images of the left ankle were obtained on the Open MRI at xxxxxxxxx.  There is slight motion artifact limiting the evaluation.  There is no significant joint effusion.  The talar dome appears intact.  The ligaments and tendons all appear intact.  There is no evidence of fracture or dislocation.  There does not appear to be significant acute abnormality.  The Achilles tendon and plantar fascia show no significant abnormality.

IMPRESSION:         Essentially unremarkable examination of the left ankle.  Would recommend further evaluation as needed.

Thank you for the referral.
