MRI EXAMINATION OF THE HEAD AND INTERNAL AUDITORY CANALS WITH CONTRAST

INDICATION FOR STUDY:           Unilateral left-sided hearing loss.  MRI examination without contrast was performed on XXXXXXXX.

FINDINGS:               Axial and coronal images were obtained with contrast on the Open MRI at XXXXXXX.  The patient’s non-contrast evaluation from XXXXXXXX was reviewed.  After contrast administration, there is no abnormal enhancing lesion or mass to the brain parenchyma reviewed on the coronal and axial images.  Dedicated evaluation of the internal auditory canals with thin sections with additional coronal and axial images were performed.  There is no significant abnormal enhancement in the internal auditory canal regions.  The examination of the head and internal auditory canals is essentially unremarkable and there is no abnormal enhancement.
