FINDINGS:             The uterus measures 8.2 x 3.4 x 3.9 cm.  Multiple small cystic lesions are seen involving the cervix.  They range in size from 4.4 mm to 9.1 mm.

The endometrial stripe measures 7 mm, which is within normal limits.

Right ovary measures 4.2 x 3.7 x 3.9 cm and the left ovary measures 2.9 x 2.0 x 2.2 cm.  There is a 3.4 x 2.9 cm septated cystic lesion in the right adnexa.

There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac.

IMPRESSION:        Septated 3.4 x 2.9 cm cystic lesion in the right adnexa, most probably representing ovarian cyst.

The left ovary appeared to be enlarged measuring about 12.4 x 3.4 x 4.9 cm.  There is a questionable left adnexal mass measuring about 2.9 x 2.7 cm.  Considering the finding, clinical correlation and if indicated, further evaluation with MRI is suggested.

The presence of free fluid in the cul-de-sac is noted.

1.9 x 1.8 cm cystic left adnexal lesion, most probably representing a small left ovarian cyst.

There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac.

IMPRESSION:

1.         No definite intrauterine mass is seen.

2.          The endometrial stripe and right ovary are not visualized.

3.          Small left ovarian cyst measuring about 1.9 x 1.8 cm.

4.         The study is limited.  Clinical correlation and if indicated, further evaluation with MRI of the pelvis is suggested.

FINDINGS:               A transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound shows the uterus to measure 12.1 x 4.5 x 6.3 cm.  Three solid lesions can be seen within the myometrium measuring 1.9 x 1.4 x 1.5 cm, 1.7 x 1.8 x 1.7 cm, and 2.8 x 1.7 x 2.1 cm.

These would appear to represent uterine fibroids.  The endometrial echo stripe measures
1.0 cm.  The right ovary and left ovary are not identified.

IMPRESSION:        Probable multiple fibroids, the largest measuring 2.8 cm in its greatest diameter.

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         Fibroids.  Prior pelvic ultrasound from July 08, 2011 and patient has CT evaluation done on 10/14/2011.

FINDINGS:             The uterus measures 8.6 x 4.5 x 5.7 cm.  There is an echogenic mass within the uterus measuring up to 5.2 cm consistent with fibroid, which is similar to what was seen previously.  The endometrial stripe measures approximately 3 mm.  There is no significant free fluid in the cul-de-sac and the left ovary is not visualized.  The right ovary measures 2 cm.  Overall, this appears similar to what was seen previously.

IMPRESSION:        Continued evidence of fibroid changes in the uterus measuring up to
5.2 cm.  Please see comments above.

INDICATION FOR STUDY:         Severe tenderness, large uterus.

FINDINGS:             The uterus measures 9.6 x 5 x 6.7 cm.  The endometrial stripe appears somewhat thickened measuring 1.3 cm.  The right ovary measures up to 3.5 cm and the left up to 3.7 cm.  There are multiple small follicular cysts in the ovaries, some of which appear just within the periphery.  The possibility of polycystic ovarian syndrome cannot completely be excluded and would recommend clinical correlation or further evaluation as needed.  There is a small amount of free fluid in the cul-de-sac of uncertain significance.  There is no other significant abnormality.

IMPRESSION:        Slightly thickened endometrial stripe of uncertain significance.  There are multiple small follicular cysts in the ovaries as discussed above.  There is small amount of free fluid in the cul-de-sac of uncertain significance.  If there is any further concern, would recommend clinical correlation or further evaluation as needed or further evaluation with MRI examination of the pelvis may be considered if clinically indicated and no contraindications.
